Countdown to new website begins, plus a surprise is coming

The premium mass market edition of The Light of Burning Shadows officially goes on sale next Tuesday in North America and barring an unforeseen problem the new website will be in place to mark its debut. But wait, there’s more! Ok, I’ll stop sounding like an infomercial selling soap and simply say that I’ve come up with a nice way to say thanks to everyone out there following the adventures of the Iron Elves. No, unlike Oprah, you won’t be getting new cars or a trip to Disney Land, but in keeping with the spirit of Halloween I do have a treat for everyone and it won’t rot your teeth (er, well, I suppose it could if you chewed it long enough, so don’t chew it!) What is it? Well, tune in next week when the new website goes live and find out.

      Re: thank you

      Hi, Zac:

That’s really nice to hear, glad you’re enjoying the series. The third book, Ashes of a Black Frost, is due out July 2011, but you can read an excerpt in the back of the mm edition of The Light of Burning Shadows which will be on the shelves next week.

      Cheers,

      Chris

    Amazing.

I just wanted to say, I bought your first book on a whim when I saw it on the sale rack. (The first sentence clinched it!) It was definitely the most original piece I have read in a long while. Keep it up; I’m off to buy the next!

      Re: Amazing.

      Hi, SJ:

I thought about that first sentence for a while before finally writing it the way you see it so I’m glad to hear it drew you in.

      Cheers,

      Chris
