The book has been delayed (because it’s taking me longer than anticipated to write it) so it will now be publishing in July 2011.

Yesterday was Canada Day and Sunday is Independence Day here in the US so my arms will likely need a rest after all the flag waving. In other news, Brazil is out of the World Cup in a somewhat shocking upset to the Netherlands, it’s going to be 1,000 degrees in NYC this weekend, and I am going to spend a large portion of it in my air conditioned apartment writing…and watching the World Cup.

Ah, New York City in the summer. It’s like living in a perpetual sauna as soon as you step outside or go down into the subway. Central Park is worth its weight in gold in weather like this. The shade of the trees makes it feel a good 10 to 15 degrees cooler. And, um, all the ladies sunbathing on the grass doesn’t hurt either although that seems to increase the temperature, strange.

This actually reminds of a book although I can’t recall at the moment what it was called or who wrote it…I think there was a book like this…maybe…
